Starting with Surgery

You'd think this story would with a wood-fired pizza oven but it doesn't. It all began when my doctor told me my heart was weakening at a rapid rate. My heart was pounding out of my chest all the time. I was feeling tired, lightheaded, throbbing neck, and headaches. So I got a non-invasive heart surgery that cured my heart condition. You can watch the video here the hospital made about my heart condition or below. 

Pizza Recovery 🍕🍕🍕

While in recovery I had a lot of time to think and make pizza. That's when the idea came to me should make a outdoor pizza oven. I became an obsessed pizza connoisseur and continues to be a passion for me. I've always have been interested in the quality pizza ovens made in Italy. However, through lots of research I found Italian pizza ovens took a lot of money to ship to the United States. Plus, Italian ovens takes gobs money to make. I knew there had to be a better way to make a quality pizza oven locally.     

The First Prototype

So I teamed up with my father-in-law who has over 40 years of precast and engineering experience to make a prototype oven. We made a working prototype oven that didn't look like a great pizza oven but the first pizza out of that wood fired oven was life changing. It's was the best pizza I have ever had. It's amazing how a good wood-fired pizza oven can make in a quality pizza. After a few years, of making pizza and continually learning about pizza, I started Stone Peak Ovens.  

Now after making more ovens, here is what our ovens look like today. We look forward to making better high quality pizza ovens for your backyard.
